From what I have seen and heard it's nothing more than the typical race riots that happen every time the 'oppressed' race decides they have been somehow wronged when someone from the white race kills another of their young thugs instead of letting themselves get killed.
Over the years I have come to see the wisdom in the words of an old black fellow that I met while broken down in Louisiana and had to jump a fence beside the interstate to call the rental company. At the time the Rodney King mess was going on in California, and unbeknownst to me I was in the middle of a black neighborhood, just about dark, knocking on doors, in the middle if nowhere, in Louisiana.
I finally got someone to answer the door for a young white guy, and after a few phone calls sat down to wait on the return calls, and watch TV with the old man. His take on the whole mess was this. They ought to go in and surround the city with the military and police, and make an announcement to the effect that all the good, honest people need to leave town for awhile. Then tell the rest of the bunch, "When you N-----s are done killing each other the rest of is folks will be back".
Way too many people try to play the race card nowdays, and try to say the N word is somehow bad, in an do of itself. The problem is the truth hurts which means it's just not "politically correct" to call things like they are.
When it comes down to the wire, everyone, as that old guy showed me that night, regardless of race, knows what the word really means, knows the type of people it's aimed at, and have no more problem using it to refer to that class of folks than that class of folks do using it to refer to each other. In this case it's nothing more than a lot of those type folks doing what comes naturally.

Today's Featured Article - 12-Volt Conversions for 4-Cylinder Ford 2000 & 4000 Tractors - by Tommy Duvall. After two summers of having to park my old 1964 model 4000 gas 4 cyl. on a hill just in case the 6 volt system, for whatever reason, would not crank her, I decided to try the 12 volt conversion. After some research of convert or not, I decided to go ahead, the main reason being that this tractor was a working tractor, not a show tractor (yet). I did keep everything I replaced for the day I do want to restore her to showroom condition.
