Saw a similar thread on a gun forum I get on occasionally. Some of the guys on there actually know the man and said that they don't think any of the allegations are true. In fact they said he is still recovering from other false allegations made by a jilted ex girlfriend, so they were figuring the idea was to go ahead and hit him hard, again, while he is still down.
With the charges involved, his life, and career are basically over. He has even been forced to distance himself from Red Jacket, his own business due to the whole ordeal.
Personally I think IF he did what he's accused of, a public whipping followed by a hanging is way too good for him. If not, unfortunately the stigma is still there and he will always be punished to some degree, while the accuser will typically go scot free.
