LOWE"S have improved here in Springfield, Ohio. Years ago when they first opened they were not so good. The joke among me and my friends were if clerk sensed you were going to ask for help, they looked away and acted busy.
Case in point, picked out some long boards. They needed cut in two for job and also so I could haul them. Waited at the saw and several clerks turned away when they saw I needed help. Finally I caught a clerks eye and acted like I was going to turn on saw. He rushed over and said "customers can"t use saw for safety reasons". I said thanks while he cut them for me !
