I bought a Moultrie M-990 on Ebay recently ($145)to see whether I had wildlife or a troublesome neighbor that was picking my peaches. It really took great pictures - color in the day and IR day night. But the detection range is less than I thought and I suspect that's the case with all the game cameras. I had remarkably good pictures of me running the cows thru the gate, a raccoon on the gate, a turkey or two but no peach tree stripper. Also I found you need to buy a special USB connector to transfer the pictures to your computer ($20). I bought a 4 card reader on Ebay from china for $2.49 + $1.49 shipping - got it in a week and worked very well. Forgot to mention you need to buy an SB card for the camera. I'm now considering a wireless camera connected direct to my computer. Range was the problem. ope this helps.
