A few weeks ago I showed some pictures of my steering wheel on A FORD 3000 that needed removal so another (used) steering box could go in. I had to cut the steering wheel off. It was quite a bit of work to remove the hood, dash, fuel tank, guages, throttle assembly, etc. and everything worked out except the fuel and temp guage don"t work. I do have a repair manual and wiring diagram but things look like a crow"s nest under the dash. Maybe a few rainy days in the fall I"ll take a shot at it but really looks confusing. I did lather the steering wheel nut with grease and anti-seize this time....it may need to come off again. Thanks to all who took time to offer tips and advice on this board. Allen, Rod, JDSeller and others can do work like this in their sleep but it really helps guys like me. I've got my MF 35 on the mower now instead of the FORD.

After some research of convert or not, I decided to go ahead, the main reason being that this tractor was a working tractor, not a show tractor (yet). I did keep everything I replaced for the day I do want to restore her to showroom condition.
