We've had humid days in short durations all summer, we got a break this year, as its usually not like that, lingers around much longer. Its been here 2-3 days now, kind of odd as usually starts to get a little cooler with drier air this time of year.
I don't like the humid days so much, though its still tolerable, it sure does zap your energy, more so when the heat is as extreme as the humidity, this year the humid spells, were sometimes shaded by cloudy days and seemingly no real high heat, like we can get in July. We've had some real hot and humid ones in recent years that I recall, this summer has been a real mild one.
I don't know what it is, is it really just age? I weigh more now than before, but walk in the morning and evening, or at least once a day, at least 1-1/2 miles, mostly hills too, some steep ones, am gearing up for better health and the physical at the end of the year, the D.O.T. one too LOL ! What is bugging me, would this humidity effect me as much, if I was in the same physical shape in my 20's-30's when I played sports to keep fit, basketball, hockey etc, and weighed less ? I don't recall it being an issue then. Hope to find out by working on that. One thing that is needed, a cotton sweat rag, I sweat profusely in humid weather, don't recall that so much when younger, so I have to keep something around to clear it off, burns the eyes LOL !
When you were in southeast asia, do you recall the effects of the heat and humidity like now ?
My father had to deal with it for quite awhile, there and panama, no way he'd cope with it now.
Sometimes it pays to see if your medical professional can dig a little deeper. Just a few years ago, I can recall, after having been on my feet, doing physical work 10+ hours a day, by the end of the week or within it, I'd get up and my legs/feet were either sore, felt heavy, just not right, some days it was trouble to get down the stairs the first time, had to get going to get some relief, I weighed 25 lbs less at the time. Most I could figure (besides another problem with one leg/foot requiring surgery, and is now back to normal) was it was just the work, the routine, I've felt a lot better since I don't do that work anymore, some of this has to be age and miles on the chassis! LOL ! It was becoming very troublesome to me, hard to cope with, I guess you have to know when its time to make changes, I'm a tad under 50, and it just seemed really odd to be dealing with these things, being in otherwise good health, perfect BP, some arthritis though.

Today's Featured Article - Hydraulics - Cylinder Anatomy - by Curtis von Fange. Let’s make one more addition to our series on hydraulics. I’ve noticed a few questions in the comment section that could pertain to hydraulic cylinders so I thought we could take a short look at this real workhorse of the circuit. Cylinders are the reason for the hydraulic circuit. They take the fluid power delivered from the pump and magically change it into mechanical power. There are many types of cylinders that one might run across on a farm scenario. Each one could take a chapter in
