Because of crap like that,I so seldom watch any news that I honestly can't tell you what's going on anywhere in the world, much less right around here. I check the local newspaper site most days. They generally have one of two new stories on their site every day and even those are stories that I've come to realize have no bearing on my life. There's an "up north" station that I can get at 10 sometimes that does a half hour of straight forward news. We're right on the southern edge of their coverage area. I've seen their reporters around here a few times on those rare occasions that there is anything going on. They're only on weeknights, not weekends. When that'll come in on the antenna I'll watch that, but it's the only TV news I have any stomach for at all. When I did turn on the morning show on the eight and a half hour a day station one morning last week to see the weather forcast, the brainless little moron of a weather dunce was showing grade school pictures of himself. That's how bad it is.
