There are good foods out there, but there aren't any magical ones.
The best thing is a balanced diet full of the good foods.
DARK chocolate - the real kind - is good for you, and so aren"t bananas. But all fruits and vegetables are good for you.
Lots of water is good for you too.
Basically - the closer your food is to its natural state - the better off you"ll be.
Anything processed, even slightly, has "other stuff" added to it (or has the good parts removed from it) - that"s what gets most americans into trouble diet wise.
Combine a good natural diet with regular exercise/activity - and most people won"t have to worry much about things like high blood pressure.
The theory is simple, but hard to live. Real food can be expensive. And it"s hard to say no to a bag of potato chips, soda, salt, white bread, cookies, sugar in coffee, etc, etc,
Hard to undo the damage a lifetime of eating the #$#$ so many of us were raised on - but on the other hand, it's never too late to change. There are benefits to changing your diet no matter how late in the game it may be. Reducing blood pressure (or at least not INCREASING it) is just one of them.
