Larry: The carpenters in the past all had their signature style of doing certain things. Like your rafters. I bet that if you check around your area you will find other buildings with that feature.
There was a fellow that built a lot of the houses around here. He died when I was a little kid. You can still see his houses by the scroll bracing he always made under the overhangs. My Grand Father said the OLD carpenter would make them up in the winter when he was killing time.

Today's Featured Article - Restoration Story: Fordson Major - by Anthony West. George bought his Fordson Major from a an implement sale about 18 years ago for £200.00 (UK). There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard.
