Jeff and I were cutting wood today and tackled a hemlock cull log left over from last year's barn building. Holy Crap!! That thing couldn't have soaked up any more water if we had drug the thing outta the bottom of Black River!!!!!! By the time we had thrown a load of that stuff on my Dakota piled up to cab top level, the trailor hitch was dragging kinda low. (chuckle) Seems like nothing soaks up water like a hemlock left on the ground.

There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard.
