Talked the QuarteRmaster on the USS Constellation in to running this one up over the ship and back down in the Tonkin Gulf during combat ops. Flown only on military occasions and half staff days. KMART flag the rest of days. Just a side note. I learned from the Senior Chief that day that when the ships flags get tattered on the end they have the riggers cut and sew the tight. They can repeat that until the "bars" are no shorter than the "stars".
