I've got one customer with a MF165 that has the front mounted pump. To work on their machine I found a piece of splined shafting that matched the splines in the drive shaft and welded it to an old 1/2 drive socket. This allows you to put the splined piece into the end of the drive shaft and unscrew it. It's a left hand thread. Usually you need some kind of shock to get it broken lose, but after that it will usually turn pretty free. One other piece of advice. Put some never seize on it when you put it back to make it easier the next time. Good luck.
