If it has a diesel engine that runs good thats worth some $$$ and by chance it has a good trans that doesn't jump out of gear thats worth some good $$$ too.When looking at salvage value ignore all the bad things and look for the good parts that can be pulled off the tractor.You said the loader was twisted but if the loader mounts are good they'll bring some $$$.I pick up equipment and tractors from a couple different scrap yards in my area lots of time with lots of good parts that were brought there people that think like most of the posters here.Then take them to the farm either fix up or pull the good parts and take the rest back.
