DeKalb is not bad. I have had real good luck with Channel Seed the last few years. It has out yielded my Pioneer and DeKalb.
Pioneer has been going down hill the last 15 years. Ever since they sold the genetics just aren't there like they used to be.
I was 100% Pioneer from about 1983 until 2000. I got burnt real bad on a Pioneer number that would not stand. Had 500 acres go flat, and I do mean flat.
Pioneer is getting like a lot of JD collectors that think their poo does not stink. The local Pioneer dealers all have NEW BUILDINGS and bins. Plus drive in with 50K pickups. I have chose to do little business with them.
