Thanks guys. I used a homemade pipe w/welded in NPT fitting in the upper radiator hose of the 9N several yrs. ago for mechanical temp gauge. It has worked great. I'm attempting to re-purpose (1955 chevy 210 car) the electrical type that I had originally tried to plug into the drain-cock hole on side of the 9N block. Way too cool at that location to get even a reading on the 9N. The chevy 235 6 cylinder has a 5/8-18 NF threaded mechanical plug into the 6 cyl. head. I ruined the working original in wrestling the '55 gauge cluster cause most of the dash was not functioning(light bulbs). I used a 5/8-18 NF die to recut the threads on the 3/8-18 NPT brass fitting and it would or could now need a gasket to seal the NF threads. I was just trying to confirm that those aluminum washers were indeed gaskets. Thought that I had to buy copper doughnut looking gaskets???

My dad dreamed that some day he would have his own tractor with every implement he could get. When he rea
