I have a 7ft farm king, single auger, that I bought basically new. It had been used twice. It does a good job, and is all I need in most snow storms. Before the farm king, I had a 7 ft dual auger new idea. It was older, and worked ok, but had only manual turn on the chute. I will say there is a difference in how far the snow is tossed, and i think it is because of the diameter of the fan. Double auger, larger fan. Single auger, smaller fan. In 3-4 ft drifts, the single auger will toss it about 25-30 ft out into the field along the driveway. The double would toss it more like 50ft. I guess if you live in a place where you get lots of snow and drifting, you may want to consider the dual auger option. If it is little drifting, the single auger will be fine. I've used the single auger on snow falls of 18" or more with no drifting, and it handled it with ease. As far as the farm king brand, I'm very satisfied.
