When I was a lot younger in the 70's I worked for a small mill in central NY and all we dried was corn. We had trucks backed up for hours waiting.The problem was the size of our operation but they brought the loads anyway and waited.The the reason they waited because there was a wait anywhere else they went. We ran a corn drier almost nonstop from early October until end of December. Part of the wait early in the season was how long it took to dry corn with a high moisture content. You could move through it pretty quickly by December. I had fun in those days for $2.50 per hour and all the 100 lb bags you could carry.
