Yep, cool. I just did that to my new Model 2550 Cub Cadet shaft drive mower. That stupid cheap plastic cheap hood trapped all the heat and dust inside, melted one time, couldn't get to anything to maintain anything... went to favorite salvage yard, got a Ferguson TO-20 hood, WITH THE ORIGINAL BLUE FERGUSON FRONT BADGE.... tin-smithed on it, man it fits exactly and is really cool. I set it on a slight down-angle. Painted it Cub Cadet yellow. Got rid of the stupid shock-absorber hood lifter th ings, installed a retro 1/4" steel rod as hood-holder-upper device. My retro / gangsta / hoodlum / lookin' mowing machjine. PLUS I CAN MAINTAIN EVERYTHING, IT'S ALL JUST RIGHT THERE. I will see if I can figure how to show pictures.
