depends some on what you plan to put in garden- for most people the moldboard plow is still choice for garden that is likely to have root crops mixed with varying sized seeds, denser planting and soil amendments that need turn under- as mulch, raw manures, half finished compost, stable bedding. Less deep root crops, use of completely finished, sifted compost and some water retention needed would favor the disk and chisel less turnover plowing for shallower seed beds that gets later mulch.
