I am getting rid of some scrap iron now. It's hard to toss Dad's stuff out. His old plow parts that have been under his work bench for 60 years, will never again be used. At least they are being tossed out with some dignity, rather than by some scrapper when I'm gone. As I go through the iron pile and tossing some in the metal bin, and some in the keep pile. I'm keeping some things I doubt I will never need, but you never know. I tossed out a Fresno (tumble bug as some call it) I'm about ready to pull it out. Going to try and leave it in the bin. Today's Featured Article - Restoration Story: Fordson Major - by Anthony West. George bought his Fordson Major from a an implement sale about 18 years ago for £200.00 (UK). There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard. From the engine number, it was found that this Major was produced late 1946. It was almost complete but had various parts that would definitely need replacing.
