Yeah. I just ran the numbers the other day. I have an LP heater and the last time I filled up, since Amerigas acquired seemingly all the independents around here, it now costs me $4.38/gallon to fill my 50 puunder which holds about 9.5 gal at the 80% fill spot. The reason I bought the 50 in the first place was to get a price break but now I can get the little gas grill 20 pounders where Rhino I think it is inspects and replaces if needed on their nickel even though you buy the tank...a tank and the price is about $4.38 and a lot easier to haul around alone than the 50 which I have to pay for the inspections when they come due.
So I ran the numbers against my electric shop heater and I'm close enough to choose which is most convenient.
