I have had my snapper 1650 for 20 plus years. Decided last year was the year to do a complete restoration including rebuild the motor. Finally getting all the components back together and tried to start it. Appears to be sparking and getting fuel but won't even pop. I pull the plug after cranking a bit and its wet with gas. When I ground the plug to the head bolt and crank it only seems to generate spark for a few cranks then nothing. I tried a different coil and it does the same thing. Check all the wiring and connections and everything appears to be where it should be. Also notice a few times while under full cranking it would kick back. I'm thinking I have a timing issue? I had the rebuild done by a reputable guy. When I called him about helping with the initial start he was swamped. Snow is starting to hit us hard need my snow thrower. Anyone have any advice. Thanks
