I have heard about hazards the the owner was aware of but didn't inform the hunters. One reason I always ask about old wells, cisterns, etc. Don't know if it's true and never heard of anyone suing successfully. I have heard of landowners shooting a hunter's dog and the hunter collecting damages, like when a dog trees a coon in the front yard and the landowner shoots the dog. In Michigan, hunters have the right to retrieve their dog that strays onto private property, but they must leave their gun on their side of the fence/property. Get the dog and get out.
