Hi I'm across the border from you north of Dunseith. same here Monday after clocks changed, had an appointment in town 45 mins away. woke to some light snow and frozen highways at 6.30 am. left here at 7.30 hit highway 10. semis doing 40 to 50 k. so i followed them, being smart, knowing if they aint speeding it's bad on the highway.
We got on a hill one semi pulled over in left of 2 lanes up the hill to avoid ice and spinning out, he was starting to kinda go sideways at this point as the drives slid out under him.
one clown tried passing about 10 of us, and near undertook the semi. Before he realised it was there!. seems after the summer guys forgot about using headlights and dip beam as well when it's dark early to!. I guess there will be tons a accidents here this winter, Government decided to cut highway plowing from about 5 pm to 8 am in the morning to cut spending on driver overtime!.Guys that leave at 6 am for work will all be in the ditch if it's bad, It'll be fine till 3 or 4 freeze to death in the ditch due to the government cuts, and nobody will go out to rescue them due to union safety rules. Regards Robert
