Weather you like GMO's or Big Corporations that basics are folks plant round up ready soybeans because they figure they'll make more money on them then regular soy beans. Monsanto does own the patent and although I don't agree with all their tactics to enforce them they do have a right. There is some areas of agriculture and the associated food industries that are pushing back. Many grow local/buy local programs and markets are springing up. I don't know if they'll last long, food has always been cost sensitive and these models may produce "better" food but it also costs more, the other factor I wonder about is Uncle Sam wants to be more involved in food production so he can make sure it's "safe" for us and we don't get poisoned by bad food. Of course this also gives control of our food to a large and powerful government entity that I don't trust anymore than large and powerful corporations.
So again I ask why is it when a group of workers form a Union to thwart market forces and cause them to get more for their labor is this good, but when a group of companies get together to manipulate markets to get more for their products this is bad? Why is it good for a powerful central government to control our food supply (with large inputs from Unions who have a stated purpose to get more for themselves and their workers at your cost), but bad for a powerful central corporation to control our food?
As someone else said consider the source, if it's on TV it's probably driven or funded by some group with ulterior motives. Heck most of the dominate media still thinks Barry & the Boyz are doing a good job and leading our country the way it should go.
We are giving up our freedoms in record numbers. We have some input to the selection of our our politicians, we have some choice in who we buy our seed and food from, we have some input on where we can get out health care, where we work and live, what cars we buy and where we worship, but we are giving up more and more of those decisions and rights every day. But the bottom line is we make these choices, sometimes by doing nothing we are making choices. We are fast coming to a point where vocal and well organized minorities in increasing smaller areas of the country get to make significant decisions, and sometimes those decisions are nothing more than to take from us so they can have more and not pay for what they get.

I’ve noticed a few questions in the comment section that could pertain to hydraulic cylinders so I thought we could take a short look at this real workhorse of the circuit. Cylinders are the reason for the hydraulic circuit. They take the fluid power delivered from the pump and magically change it into mechanical power. There are many types of cylinders that one might run across on a farm scenario. Each one could take a chapter in
