I was not born when Kennedy was hit, I was in the 11th grade when the Challenger blew up coming back from lunch-I heard it on the radio and thought it was a sick joke then I got into class and the principal went on the PA system and announced it. I was driving to the hardware store in 2003 when the Columbia blew up first thought it was a terrorist attack or something. I was at work when the 9/11 attacks happened, watching the world trade center towers fall was very shocking. I was in a college class when we started bombing Iraq in 91.

3rd grade at school for Kennedy. Found out on the bus on the way home. They told the older kids who ask if anyone wanted to still be the president.
Lunch time, Baumholder Germany for Challenger. We were doing an ammo download (during the Cold War we had a basic combat load of ammo on the tanks at all times except gunnery). We had to do a monthly download, inventory and reload. At the barracks at lunch time it was on Armed Forces network.
Driving to Willmar MN for classes 9/11.
2nd ACR for the bombing of Iraq.
At home when the Colombia crashed.
