That's flat not true. I live on an island in the Niagara river and in the worst of winters, we're driving in a few hours after the storm. Blizzard of 77 was worse than this one. The 77 storm covered a vast area of this area. It took 3' of snow on the frozen lake Erie and blew it into the region. 27 died and Buffalo was locked down for a week or more. Here, on the island, I got about 12' around the house and in the driveway. I was out and about 2 days later. It took a while to get the snow out. This storm wasn't much, 2 days and the mains were opened. The area of the snow was limited. I'm just 4-5 miles north of Buffalo and we got 4". Of course, I light off the JD with the grading box and 7' articulated plow and I don't much care how much we get as long as I have diesel to burn., No, the storms make life more interesting. You watch it fall and then you go out and play in it.
