My Dad never bought a new tire in his lifetime. Most I saw him pay was 20 bucks for a matched pair of snow tires. SWMBO just inherited a newer SUV. Front tires were getting thin, rears about 50% tread. She bought a matched set of 4 new. Hauled several truck loads to south Texas. People from across the Rio Grande scarfed them up almost a fast as they were unloaded.
