We ran a JD1770 12row vac planter for years on a mfwd 1566, we had a pto pump set up that had its own hyd tank and a air cooled cooler in line for both the vac units. It worked great for years till we upgraded to a JD 4960 for a planter tractor. The pump had mount brackets that bolted to another bracket to the pto housing on the tractor, and driven by a coupler on both the pto and the pump and connected with a roller chain. Only problem was if the couplers weren't perfectly aligned one of the sprockets would ware out and seemed to when you had 200 acres ready and rain on the way on a Saturday afternoon. The system was put together for us by the dealer if I remember.
