When I put tires on anything they stay on for the life of the tire. Where do all the tires come from? Any body out there put on used tires? I put new tires on the wife's, car. but put used on my F 150, which is used mostly as a driver. Stan
There is a Used tire Shop on every corner and every flea market around here... I rarely sell a used tire unless I Know the tire and vehicle it came off of but I will give them away if its a usable tire. I don't have the time to deal with the issues used tires give so if I give it to you i can keep what I make mounting and balancing it if it gives a issue  I see allot of issues with used tires and find a high percentage are unsafe.
There is a local warehouse that has 10's of thousands of used tires of any kind folks come from far away to buy from them. That's all they do is sell no instillation. They have a minimum purchase so it's a wholesale out fit that weeds out the small pickers. Its my understanding the min. is $1000 you get to pick 20 tires and you have to take a mix of there choice for the rest of the purchase.
These guys are bottom feeders and I understand poor folks have to do what they have to do. We all have to ride on the same road with them I would like to see some regulation/certification on used tires...
I know some that have tried selling used tires and failed and know a few that have done good at it... I rank them right up there with crooked used car dealers...
Edit :D I blame this on the link... Tires are actualy cheap its the tax
