CIH did not have a good compact until they became CNH. The NH compact and small tractor are good ones. NH still does not compete well in the lawn equipment world.
Also Kubota, NH and JD are the big three in the compact market. With Kubota being the big seller. I am not sure where JD and NH are anymore. I have not seem the numbers lately.
The CIH and Kubota mix started 10-15 years ago around here. So it predated the CIH/NH/Fiat merger/sale. I am sure that Fiat is not pleased with some of the dealers still carrying Kubota.
I would not be too comfortable with Fiat as the majority owner of any business I was involved in. Fiat, as a company, has been on shaky ground financially for years. The Italian government has bailed them out and Fiat is still not that profitable as a whole. The Ag division is but the car division is not.
Truthfully it would not surprise me for CNH to be sold in the future. Kubota MIGHT be the buyer????
