I did a solo visit Sept 1967, beautiful views. Better half and I went about 20 years ago, Dec, was fogged in but lifted for 15 minutes while we were there, just enough to see north rim. Couple years ago, January, totally clear and we spent a half day there on the tour, and in the visitor center. Wonderful trip for us.
