I've enjoyed the times that I've been to Chattanooga's downtown, but that was usually when the weather was nice. If you are headed through that way, you might want to check out their aquarium. Huntsville has the space center, I've not seen it since I was a kid but I remember enjoying it. If you are by Pensacola the have an aviation museum with IMAX and certain times of year the Blue Angels practice twice a week and you can watch. Although, in winter I think they may practice in El Centro, Ca.
