Problem is, most adults, even the ones who wish they could go back and be a teen again, don't remember what it's like being a teenager.
Not all decisions are right. Not all are wrong. Depends on how much (if at all) they learn along the way. Some turn out to be right nice adults. You have to give 'em all the benefit of the doubt until they give you cause to do otherwise. Sometimes adults make bad choices....Sometimes those choices are about how they deal with teenagers.
