Animal I agree 110% A few days ago Colin King told how the rubber injector seals for his 172 diesel were going to be $29.90 each from CNH. I went on ebay and found them for $27.90 for the set of four. The manufactures don't want the business for anything over ten years old! They don't make the parts, they buy them and sell them, and other companies do too. Does your 9600 have an air intake restriction indicator? I bet that it didn't need the filter, unless it got bent or something. When I got my 2003 International triaxle dump the Caterpillar manual said "Hey idiot! keep your mits off that air filter until the restriction indicator tells you to clean it!" So I never opened it up in two years.
