I have a 1494 which is the same basic tractor. It is handy as a loader tractor. I generally only use it as a chore tractor, but mine pulls 3-16s and 4-16s in good conditions. Have pulled a heavy 14' disk when no other tractor was available. It would toy with the planter.
It has Lucas electricals(prince of darkness), and Is Brit built which means there are leaks... If the leaks stop that means you are out of oil.
Underneath it is basically a 1210 David Brown(wet brakes added), with a 1410 DB engine(with DPA pump), with a Carraro Axle(hopefully).
