No competition here. Neighbor has been trying to hire a tobacco stripping crew for a month...no takers. I can't find any citizens to show up 2 days in a row to stack hay at $10/hr. When down after surgery,I could not hire a citizen to drive a tractor and baler for $20/hr. Neighbor just fired a no-show citizen horse groom... 7 hrs x 6 days @ $600/week =14.50/hr..
Most of us will hire whoever will show up....and work.
Loafers are not a new invention. When I was a kid, lots in my town, all had names and tales. But we did not blame the govt. or support them. Most did just enough to get by.
