70 hrs in 8 days 10 hrs off for a break can not work past 14 hrs from start time (this includes lunch breaks so if you start at 6am you need to be off by 8pm even if you logged 2 hrs off duty. 11 hrs driving per day 34 hrs off will reset your 70 hrs back to 0 so if you take 34 hrs off you do not count any days before it in your recap must have a 30 min break before 8 hrs on duty
was the rule but is not enforced while fmcsa studies the rule........ 34 hr break must have two periods on 1 to 5 am you can only take one 34 hr break every 168 hrs.
