It should be noted that lying can be an illness, though Im not sure yet if Edd has that problem but I guess its a possibility. But even if thats the problem, should we be forced to stay silient just because its an "illness"? I dont think so, but thats just me. And lets not forget the root of this issue, if you think things are getting old, the person to blame is Edd. Edd is 100% in control of his actions and statements, not me. If Edd chooses to lie, on a public forum no less, he and everybody else should not only understand but should expect somebody to call him out. If he repeats it, he and everybody else should expect the same outcome.
I don't run around calling people liars. There is one exception to this.
We have a crooked livestock (mostly cattle) jockey in the area that is a legend in his own mind. Lying is a disease with no known treatment for him. He's always talking about his Kentucky farm and his Kansas farm and his Texas farm, and how he bought 400 head here and 900 head there. It's all lies or imagined. He usually has about 100 head of walking death roaming around his farm and not much more. He's been banned from a few local auction houses and salebarns at one time or another for taking animals that weren't his or replacing his garbage with good amimals by switching tags. He was beaten bloody once while trying to switch government glue-on tags when caught by folks that weren't going to let it happen there again. He used to write rubber checks everywhere. Many local elevators, equipment dealers, and salvage yards at various times have had him on their "Do not accept checks from..." lists.
Then again, crazy might apply to him too. He's sick, one way or another. His actions led to my opinion of him, and to similar opinions held by others in the area. By some miracle, somehow he's still both alive and in the livestock business.
If you're from 150 miles away and have no knowledge of him, you'd be quite impressed. Reality dictates otherwise.
Why Edd won't respond to you, or to some others is puzzling. Failing to do so only leads to more questions. Your figures are from the Dept. of Labor. His are from memory?

Today's Featured Article - Restoration Story: Fordson Major - by Anthony West. George bought his Fordson Major from a an implement sale about 18 years ago for £200.00 (UK). There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard. From the engine number, it was found that this Major was produced late 1946. It was almost complete but had various parts that would definitely need replacing.
