I will have to ask my Dad. As I recall, the new model year had the bigger tires on it, and as part of the purchase he asked them to switch them to the large size. I am going by memory, and I am not known for that! I do know he has not had any driveline problems in the almost 1600 hours that are on the tractor. It is just time to replace the fronts and I found some 9.5 really reasonable. Look like new, and I can buy the pair for $150.00 or possibly less. And the only time I have the front end locked in is for snow removal.
