Occasionally I chime in, but for the most part I am one of the silent observers. There are SO many down home folks on this site that I hope it never changes. This site is so full of knowledge, feelings, and comradeship that I've never encountered another place like this across all my travels on the internet. You, and many others here make this place a class act. For that I thank you, along with too many others to name. Peace be with you, your family, and all the rest of the YT crowd. Today's Featured Article - Restoration Story: Fordson Major - by Anthony West. George bought his Fordson Major from a an implement sale about 18 years ago for £200.00 (UK). There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard. From the engine number, it was found that this Major was produced late 1946. It was almost complete but had various parts that would definitely need replacing.
