We've got 3 main dealers we go to for AGCO parts. The closest one was always Massey and is selling more Fendt and Claas now than Massey. The one closest to me used to be Allis, then Heston, and now Massey. They ate good about most parts for most brands under the umbrella.
The farthest away is for sure the best one to go to for Oliver parts if needed now, but if I just need filters or the like it's not worth the drive. They are also Massey and they'll work on anything made out of metal. Color makes no difference. One time they'll have a shop full of
Oliver's, next time it'll be ih's, Massey, Ford, case, or whatever other brand that needs work.
For cnh, there is a case dealer on the other side of town but they don't do anything with nh, or really much with anything not landscape related anymore. They do still sell Gehl parts.
The dealer near me picked up the nh flag that the local mega Deere dealer dropped at a location they picked up and for a while sold both blue and green on the same lot. The new place is a little farther from my house, but they'll shuttle it to the other non nh location and not make a fuss. Gotten several parts from them so far and still haven't been in their door. Another nh dealer the other direction is mighty full of themselves at the local dealership. I've dealt with a location farther away when they had a corn head we needed and they were great to work with, and had a needed part drop shipped to our door at no extra charge.
We don't have much in Deere or CNH. Nothing wrong with them, just what we've found for sale at decent prices.

But, on the other hand, there is a secret language that our mechanical companions readily do speak. It is an interesting form of communication that involves all the senses of the listener. In this series we are going to investigate and learn the basic rudimentary skills of understanding this lingo.
