: : I have recently redone a 1937 JD AR tractor and am : : now in the mood to repaint. The only problem is that : : 60 years of grease and dirt has compacted over all : : of the tractor. I've tried Wal-Mart degreaser : : and powerwashing, which is working but so slowly. I : : Still have to scrape it or wash it with gasoline. : : I'm tired of scraping so If anybody knows any : : better ways of removing old grease and grime, give : : me a holler. Thanks. You could try a grinder with a soft wire wheel in it. : Try renting a steam cleaner and using commercial strength de-greaser . Apply it first and let it soak well , then hit it with the steam .
