I would recommend an older IH Cub Cadet; They are built to last, easy to get parts, easy to work on, and the best value. Hydro trans. would be best but the old 3 speed gear drive is a great solid, tough unit. good luck! Bill : I'm looking to buy a small (<20HP) garden tractor w/PTO to use primarily to mow less than 1/2 acre, blow snow off a large driveway, light hauling, and perhaps do some tilling. I'm avoiding the newer "Craftsman/MTD/NOMA lawn tractors" and am looking for an older, more heavy duty one. I am looking at primarily Cub Cadets, Bolens, WheelHorse, Simplicity, Gravely and John Deeres. Availability of parts and attachments, in addition to the performance of the tractor is a big factor in the decision. : Any advice on specific ones to look for or to avoid? : Any recommendation
