I deal with all types on craigslist. I sell hay, other random stuff, and also buy stuff.
I prefer that not everyone has my number so I don't put it on Craigslist. After the first email I give them my number so they can call if they'd prefer. Email goes to my phone so it still gets to me just as fast as a text or a phone call. Emails and Text I can reply to when I have a chance while at work, where as I probably won't be able to answer my phone when someone decides to call me.
Sometimes if the person interested in my goods asks a rediculous question right off the bat I won't even respond, depending on my mood. Sometimes they just misread something or misinterpreted my ad. Sometimes they don't have a brain in their head...
