I have seen it. The problem is they entice you in, but eventually they have to have conflict, keep the audience in suspense over scripted or otherwise stupidity, which I just don't get anyway. The little content you may be interested in is sparse, and or heavily diluted with drama, conflict and utter nonsense. I guess if you want to see how it is in McCarthy, Alaska, you have to go there yourself. Anything you were hoping to learn or see what people are doing, is overshadowed by the producers agenda.
What was really bizarre was the loner, living up on that mountain, where he re occupied an old building, nothing wrong with how he wants to live, but the story about the bear coming up to his front steps, what he described next, that was out there. He also made statement that if the outdoor facilities were off line, he'd be more than happy to use paper plate and then discard the end result into the stove LOL !!!!..... ok, now that done it for me LOL!!! and as I sit here typing this, it cracks me up, so I suppose I got some kind of a strange laugh out of it, I just can't picture this person doing these kinds of things and not roll on the floor laughing, what a nut, a good one, but still.... 40 years of this kind of living, takes all kinds to make up our world it does LOL !!!!
