I've got a 1995 F150 with 4WD, E40D auto trans and the 300 cube six. I love it. It too was an "old man's" truck. It was my father-in-law's. When he retired from Ford Motors in 1995 he bought it to use as a plow and chore truck when he retired to a rural area in northern Michigan. He lived on a private road over a mile long and did all the snow plowing with it. I have it now. Almost no rust and runs like new. I know there was a line of local people who wanted it when I wound up getting it.
So I now have two same-color red Ford trucks. A 1994 F250 446 cube 4WD diesel, and this 1995 F150 4WD 300 cube gasser. This 1995 gasser gets the same fuel mileage with gas that is a dollar per gallon cheaper then diesel. What's not to like? Actually, my 1994 diesel gets 17 MPG on a highway trip. The 1995 with the 300 gas engine gets 18.5 MPG.
