Would like information on a ford tractor owned by a friend of mine. He thinks it is a ford 800. Serial number on the engine is 67220. The engine is a 4 cylinder overhead valve considerably bigger that the engine in my ford jubilee. The tractor has a select o speed transmission with 10 forward and 2 reverse. At present time: tractor starts good and will run good until pulling a disc. Begins to miss and according to my friend he pulled out the choke and the engine continued to run. Next procedure is to rebuild the carb. We changed it over to 12 volts and used an internal resistance coil.
Would like to identify the tractor and any thoughts on the what to do next. I think the carb rebuild is our next step.
