That is total crap. 55-58 Chevy used a ceramic ballast resistor and a 1.5 ohm coil, 59-74 chevy used a resistance wire in the harness and a 1.5 ohm coil. Never saw a true 12V coil on a chevy until the HEI days of 74-75 and newer.
