Gotta agree here, TMI. As seller myself, I don't care how old you are or anything else about you, just if you have enough cash to purchase my item (hay, chopper screens, corn head, whatever). When you start in with what reads to me as a sob story that you're 16, basically got a steal once and hope to do so again because you don't have much to spend. All I read is, " I have no money, please go easy on me and give me a bargain at your expense"
I've had several people who have inquired on my hay. I have it listed at $4/bale in my ad. They still ask if that's the price, or if that's the price. I simply reply that yes, it's $4. They either try to get me down on price, don't reply, or agree to come out and look at it.
Had 2 customers yesterday that were more than happy to come out and pay me my price, even though hay is down a little this year. One was a repeat, the other is a new one with plenty of potential.
